Creating a Great Mood: Mara Hauser on the Design of 25N Uptown Dallas

Every 25N location begins with a simple question: How do we create a space where people feel inspired to do their best work?

As we prepare to open our newest location in Uptown Dallas, we’ve been thinking a lot about that question. The result is a workspace that feels distinctly 25N while embracing the energy, sophistication, and incredible views that make Uptown such a special place to work.

For 25N Founder and CEO Mara Hauser, the vision was clear from the beginning.

“We wanted to create a great mood when you walk into the space,” Mara says. “The views are incredible, and we wanted people to experience that right away.”

Located on the fifth floor of a premier Uptown property, the new location gives us the opportunity to create something both familiar and new. You'll see the colors, hospitality, and community-centered design that define every 25N space, but you'll also notice a few elevated touches that reflect the character of the neighborhood around us.

“The 25N brand shines loud and clear here,” Mara says. “But we've stepped it up a little bit to make it feel dressier and more club-like.”

That thinking guided many of the design decisions throughout the space. A deeper take on our signature 25N orange brings warmth and energy, while black accents, statement wallcoverings, and thoughtfully layered lighting add depth and sophistication. Richer finishes and carefully selected furnishings create an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and distinctly Uptown Dallas. From the moment members step off the elevator, they're greeted by an open reception area that draws their attention toward the Dallas skyline beyond.

The views were an important part of the design story from day one.

Our reception and community area was designed to create a strong first impression while offering a glimpse into everything happening throughout the space. From there, members and guests can see into our boardroom, gathering spaces, and work areas, all framed by expansive city views.

“It’s a space where you can immediately see what 25N is all about,” Mara says. “Meetings, events, coworking, workspace, and private offices all come together.”

Throughout the floor, flexibility was another priority.

Our café serves as a central hub where members can collaborate, enjoy lunch, host informal meetings, or simply take a break from their desks. A variety of seating options—from community tables and banquettes to lounge seating and window-facing workspaces—gives members the freedom to choose the environment that best supports their workday.

“We’ve created lots of different ways for people to use the space,” Mara says. “You can collaborate, take a break, meet with someone, or get some great work done.”

We’ve also incorporated many of the features our members love most across our existing locations. Popular booth seating makes an appearance here, along with comfortable lounge nooks and quiet corners designed for focused work. Whether someone needs a collaborative setting or a place to concentrate, the space offers options throughout the day.

Natural light was another key consideration. By placing offices along much of the building’s perimeter and thoughtfully positioning shared spaces throughout the floor, we’ve maximized access to both daylight and the incredible views that make this location unique.

At its core, the Uptown Dallas location reflects what we strive to create in every 25N community: a place where great work gets done, meaningful connections happen, and members actually look forward to coming into the office.

As we get closer to opening our doors, we’re excited to welcome members into a space designed not just to support the way they work, but to elevate the experience of work itself. We can’t wait for you to see it (and the view) for yourself.
